Tour Highlights

To celebrate ”2nd Summer Youth Olympic Games” North America Elite Youth Orchestra‘s 2013 “Elite China 5 cities summer concert tour will be highlighted by performances in Shanghai, Nanjing, Yangzhou, Zhenjiang and Hangzhou. Artists will see the shining of Shanghai, and the vitality of Nanjing, Yangzhou , and have the opportunity to meet and play with many other top young talent artists in China.

Even NAEYO did debut at Carnegie Hall in New York and the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. on the 2000, but it passed 10 years ago , we are looking forward to the 2013 tour with your great anticipation of continuing to build on our pass great reputation and achievements belong to yours..

On this Elite tour you‘ll meet people from around the country and around the world, while building your musical skills at the same time. The world is waiting, and is welcoming you!
Applications and Auditions

Applications for auditions for the NAEYO‘s 2013 concert tour are available at the following locations:

The orchestra is for students under the age of 21 who enjoy music and have a desire to visit China. Previous orchestral experience is required, and we encourage you , don’t miss this great and unique Nanjing Youth Olympic Elite Concert Tour.

Applications along with a $100 fee must be received by April 15, 2013. Audition categories are violin, viola, cello, double bass, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, French horn, harp, piano/keyboard, percussion, and some Chinese instruments (Er-hu, pi-pa, bamboo flute, zither.). After processing of the application by the TPCAA, performers may audition either in person at one of the two audition locations, or via audio or video tape as desired. Musicians should be prepared to play a scale of their choice, an excerpt from a concerto or sonata of their choice, and a selected part from one of five pieces in the extensive NAEYO repertoire:

1.Bernstein, Overture to "CANDIDE"

2.Smetana , My Country: No. 2 The Moldau

3.Dvorak, New World Symphony No.9 Op. 95

4.Wang Min: Chinese “HaiXia” Suite

5.Tchaikowsky, Violin Concerto in D op.35

6.Beethoven, Piano Concerto No.1 in C, op. 15

7.He何 ‘s High Moon 月儿高 Zheng and Orchestra

Musicians selected for the "Nanjing Youth Olympic 2013/2014 Concert Tour"

Will embark 15-day tour by travelling from Los Angles onJune 23 for intensive rehearsal and training, returning to the US on July 6.
The cost is $4,650 per person. These prices are based on air costs and currency exchange rates in effect at the time of this publication, and are subject to change. The $4,650. price includes round-trip airfare from Los Angeles to Shanghai, from Shanghai back to Los Angeles, but does not include any other domestic travel required Also include 41 meals(13 breakfasts, 14 lunches 14 dinners), 4 star class hotel, 4 concert hall rentals, tour insurances, all inter- city at China transportation and all spot entrance fee.
