Tour Highlights

The Elite International Youth Orchestra (EIYO)‘s 2013 summer concert tour will be highlighted by performances in Los Angeles, Beijing, Shanghai. Artists will see the Great Wall, the vitality and bustle of Shanghai, the beauty of West lake and have the opportunity to meet and play with many other young artists in China. EIYO is an affiliation of North America Elite Youth Orchestra (NAEYO), it did debut at Carnegie Hall in New York and the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. on the 2000, but it passed 10 years ago, we are looking forward to the 2013 tour with your great anticipation of continuing to build on our pass great reputation and achievements belong to yours..

On this Elite tour you‘ll meet people from around the country and around the world, while building your musical skills at the same time. The world is waiting, and is welcoming you!

Applications for auditions for the NAEYO‘s 2013 concert tour are available at the following locations:

The orchestra is for students under the age of 21 who enjoy music and have a desire to visit China. Previous orchestral experience is required, and we encourage you , don’t miss this great and unique Elite China Concert Tour.

Applications along with a $50 fee must be received by April 16, 2013. Audition categories are violin, viola, cello, double bass, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, French horn, harp, piano/keyboard, percussion, and some Chinese instruments (Er-hu, pi-pa, bamboo flute, zither.). After processing of the application by the TPCAA, performers may audition either in person at one of the two audition locations, or via audio or video tape as desired. Musicians should be prepared to play a scale of their choice, an excerpt from a concerto or sonata of their choice, and a selected part from one of eight pieces in the extensive EIYO repertoire:

Musicians selected for the "Elite 2013 China Concert Tour"

will embark 15-day tour by travelling from Los Angles on June 7 for intensive rehearsal and training, returning to the US on June 21. The cost is $3,550 per person ($550 deposit due on May 1 non-refundable). These prices are based on air costs and currency exchange rates in effect at the time of this publication, and are subject to change. The $3,550. price includes round-trip airfare from Dallas to Beijing, from Shanghai back to Dallas. Also include 38 meals(12 breakfasts, 13 lunches 13 dinners), 4 star class hotel, 4 concert hall rentals, tour insurances, all inter- city at China transportation and all spot entrance fee.
